A master-planned-community full of outdoor recreation options such as parks and playgrounds, picnic areas and neighborhood activities.Grayhawk residents can take advantage of the wide range of community activities planned by Grayhawk's full-time resident Lifestyle Director.
Fun-filled events and year-round programs are designed to cater to a wide range of ages and interests. Grayhawk Elementary School, which has been nationally recognized and awarded for educational excellence, is located in the community on the southwest corner of Grayhawk Drive and 76th Street and is part of the Paradise Valley Unified School District. El Dorado Private School is also available for children in preschool through eighth grade, offering low student/teacher ratios, advanced curriculum, accelerated classes, integrated hands-on learning, after-school programs and extended before- and after-school care. Residents of all ages can enjoy more than 30 miles of multi-use trails perfect for hiking and biking plus several playgrounds, a large greenbelt, neighborhood pools, community tennis and basketball courts, ramadas, barbecue pavilions and more.
Casual meets resort-style living catering to busy families as well as posh neighbors and leisurely retirees. The Retreat is a guard-gated community featuring miles and miles of trails, community tennis courts and shimmering swimming pools all reserved for the private use of Retreat residents and guests. Casual dining venues include the Quill Creek Café, Isabella’s Kitchen and The Morning Joint, along with the pub-inspired Phil’s Grill, named after perennial PGA leader and ASU grad (he earned a degree in Psychology from the university in 1992) Phil Mickelson. Speaking of golfing greats, The Retreat is host to Grayhawk’s two greatly admired 18-hole golf courses, The Talon and The Raptor. Both courses have hosted high-profile PGA events and both have earned well-deserved accolades and awards since their opening in the mid-1990s.
