Anthem is an unincorporated master-planned community 34 miles north of downtown Phoenix by the 17 Freeway, founded by Del Webb in 1999. Management is via the three homeowners’ associations. The city has approximately 30,000 people in a 9.2 square mile area at the base of Daisy Mountain. Anthem is known as a family-friendly place to live and features a 63-acre park with a large community pool, waterpark, sports fields, and an amphitheater. The average age of residents is about 41 years, average household income is nearly $60,000, and the average home value is now $337,200.
